TRISTAR is in search of a Lead Systems Security Engineer to support our government client in Port Hueneme, CA.


Role Summary:

  • The Lead Systems Security Engineer will be responsible for fulfilling the needs of a sophisticated matrix organization, addressing various sponsor-driven requirements aimed at creating IT solutions that can be utilized across different organizational divisions.
  • In addition to managing and sustaining the current Navy standard / Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) applications and infrastructure, NSWC PHD seeks ongoing insight into new technologies, aiming for more efficient and effective methods to achieve both mission and business objectives.

Essential Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience with the DoD Cybersecurity Authorization & Accreditation processes and tools, including RMF and eMASS.
  • A minimum of five years in Cybersecurity system auditing and monitoring, including Inspector General inspection and Command Cyber Readiness Inspection criteria.
  • Familiarity with the Navy's ACAS system and Navy's VRAM.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must possess an active Secret Clearance or the capability to obtain one.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DoD or DoN cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Experience in managing DoD Cybersecurity Program requirements and deliverables.
  • Knowledge of HBSS, Firewall, IDS, and IPS.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
