Senior Financial Operations Manager for Real Estate Investments

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced AVP Accounting professional to oversee corporate, property, investment, and partnership accounting and financial reporting. This role will also be responsible for commercial lease administration and tax and insurance regulatory filings and payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversight of day-to-day financial operations, including the full accounting lifecycle for cash and accrual general ledgers
- Leading the development of the accounting team and recommending hiring and outsourcing solutions to manage workloads and team engagement
- Accounting close process management, including timelines, checklists, standard and ad hoc journal entry review, and distribution of internal and external financial reports
- Management of delivery and analysis of financial reports, including reports for lenders, partners, and investors
- Ensuring timely completion of external auditor and tax accounting firm deliverables
- Collaboration with FP&A on forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Capitalization policy application to fixed assets, acquisitions, and expenses
- Review and analysis of regulatory filings and reports for real estate taxes and insurance
- Tenant billing matters management and CAM/lease administration results review
- Establishment of operational and accounting processes for efficiency, internal controls, and scalability for future growth
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of technical real estate and investment accounting
- Strong analytical skills, including data analysis and visualization for executive presentation
- Excellent time management and written and oral communication skills
- Hands-on approach, willingness to serve in multiple roles, and adept project management
- Professional presence, outstanding work ethic, and strong team player
- Aptitude for attention to detail, analytical problem-solving, and strategic thinking
- Effectiveness in interacting with senior management at all levels and across all lines of business
- Multitasking and deadline-driven with a focus on delivering high-quality results
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- CPA certification with at least two years of public accounting experience
- Progressive accounting and finance experience, including month-end close, annual audits, financial reporting, staff development, and management
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including team management
- Real estate or financial services industry knowledge and experience
- Demonstrated success in developing and leading high-performance teams

Salary Range
The estimated salary range for this position is $190,000-$200,000 annually, plus additional bonus incentives based on performance and other factors.
