Warehouse Operations Manager

Sage Parts, a leading global supplier of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and airport-related equipment replacement parts, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Manager to lead our team at our Kentucky site.
Job Summary:The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing the overall planning, organizing, and operations of the location, ensuring compliance with administrative policies, safety rules, and government regulations. This role requires a strong leader with excellent problem-solving skills, ability to motivate and influence others, and a focus on safety, leadership, excellence, self-motivation, drive, collaboration, innovation, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the overall planning, organizing, and operations of the location, including safety, order processing, picking, packaging, shipping, returns, and receiving.
- Monitor the flow of work throughout the warehouse, investigating unusual delays and problem areas, and taking appropriate action.
- Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), such as productivity and delivery goals for the location.
- Utilize software, data, and analytics to optimize operations, track productivity metrics, anticipate and resolve problems.
- Assure communication between departments, distribution centers, and customers, participating in and conducting meetings to coordinate warehouse activities, control processes, and address problem areas.
- Plan, objectives, and goals: ensure all operating objectives, goals, and performance standards are communicated throughout the operation, holding staff accountable for meeting and/or exceeding these specific goals.
- Manage operation expenses to remain within the assigned budget.
- Develop continuous improvement initiatives and share best practices with team members, ensuring regulatory compliance with company policy and procedures and meeting OSHA standards.
- Work schedules: assure appropriate work schedules and staffing levels while reducing the incremental cost of utilizing overtime labor.
- Training programs: assure the availability of appropriate supervisory and employee training programs for both new and existing employees.
- Motivate and build teamwork, influence team members with an emphasis on driving results through accuracy and timeliness, and regularly look for common ground that inspires collaborations among team members.
- Communicate and promote company expectations and culture through actions, verbal instructions, and in writing to new and existing team members.
- Oversee and implement basic human resource functions within areas of responsibility, including interviewing qualified candidates, maintaining staffing levels, hiring and training new team members, preparing performance appraisals, and rewarding and disciplining team members on a timely basis.
- Safety and housekeeping: ensure that good housekeeping and safe operating procedures and practices are followed throughout the facility.
- Other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or their designee.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in management required.
- Three to five (3-5) years management experience in the areas of warehousing, freight, and logistics (domestic and international) is required; experience within a multi-unit environment a plus.
- Automotive/parts experience.
- Solid leadership ability with the capacity to problem solve through unexpected situations, goal and solution orientated; must be able to motivate and influence others.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, with the ability to engage, drive, and motivate others.
- Knowledge of Epicor P21 (Enterprise Resource Planning System).
- Ability to use a forklift.
- Must fluently communicate and write in English; any additional languages are beneficial and would be considered an advantage.
- Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and implementation skills.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge and/or experience within the global industrial and automotive parts marketplace would also be considered an advantage.
