**Position Title:** Electronics Assembly Technician - Soldering Specialist
The Electronics Assembly Technician is tasked with the assembly of electronic components and the installation of discrete devices on Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) by adhering to manufacturing guidelines. This includes soldering components onto PCBs and executing various electrical assembly tasks. Proficiency in soldering small electronic components is a must.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Capable of working with very small Surface Mount Technology (SMT) components and accurately positioning them on PCBs. Experience in soldering thru-hole PCB components is essential.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:Good manual dexterity and keen eyesight are vital for handling small components. Familiarity with soldering techniques, prior assembly or manufacturing experience, and the ability to comprehend instructions in English are required. A High School diploma is mandatory.
NECESSARY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
**IPC J-STD-001** Soldering Certification. Ability to inspect and rectify solder connections in various circuit boards and assemblies. Strong attention to detail. Competence in small-scale Electro-Mechanical assembly. Ability to interpret work instructions and schematics.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience with **IPC-A-610** Inspection. Proficiency in both thru-hole assembly and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) manufacturing. A technical degree in Electronics manufacturing is advantageous but not required.
