Job Overview:

The Landscape Designer is responsible for crafting high-quality landscape designs, construction documents, estimates, and proposals for presentation to clients. This role collaborates with the design and sales teams on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in a collaborative environment to develop creative, high-end design solutions.
  • Communicate design input and provide constructive feedback to elevate designs.
  • Conduct site surveys, inventory, and analysis to evaluate existing conditions and design opportunities.
  • Collaborate to develop design solutions using both hand and computer graphics with AutoCAD and Adobe Suite.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with Back to Nature associates and clients on a consistent basis.
  • Develop ability to gain construction detail knowledge to develop attention to detail skills.
  • Attend client meetings and planting layouts as necessary.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to perform duties wherever volume deems it necessary.
  • Develop ability to deliver quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Develop ability to problem solve and collaborate with Project Managers and Production Coordinators through design process.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to self-development and continuing education.
  • Demonstrate accountability for work being performed and completed on schedule.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years professional experience and interest in residential design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Suites.
  • Knowledge of landscape terminology, plant materials, applicable construction materials, and coordination in design.
  • Ability to create beautiful landscapes through attention to details and by partnering with fellow team members and the best vendors/subcontractors in the landscape business.
  • Is a professional and courteous individual with multitasking and organizational skills.
