Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine duties related to the observation, security, and training of juvenile or adult clients within a 24-hour correctional or residential environment.
  • Oversee and ensure the safety and care of clients; facilitate recreational, educational, or instructional activities.
  • Implement consequences for rule infractions; provide situational counseling to clients; administer first aid and medication as necessary.
  • Accompany clients to various activities; supervise living areas to maintain security.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Applicants must be at least twenty-one years of age.
  • A minimum of three college credits in relevant subjects is required.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License and a personal vehicle with liability insurance is necessary.
  • Certification in first aid, CPR, and physical restraint is mandatory.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • An Associate of Arts (AA) degree with coursework in pertinent fields is preferred.
  • Two years of experience working with youth and families is advantageous.
  • Professional references to confirm work experience are beneficial.
