Job Title: Systems Development Professional

At New England Asset Management, we are seeking a highly skilled Systems Development Professional to join our Proprietary Development team. This role will support our Capital and Risk Analytics (CARA) system, working closely with Traders and Portfolio Managers to implement industry-leading applications that drive our investment and risk management process.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with a team of developers to design, develop, and implement scalable and cyber-secure enterprise applications.
  • Develop risk and analytical models used for making investment decisions, applying big data visualization techniques to translate information into a visual context.
  • Identify and implement ways to improve the efficiency of production processes and infrastructure, supporting and maintaining production processes and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop new features for the CARA platform.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Quantitative Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming languages, such as C++, C#, R, or Python.
  • Experience developing client-server and web-based systems utilizing relational database systems and browser-based languages like JavaScript.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Adaptable, with the ability to adjust priorities to meet fluctuating conditions or needs.
  • Financial markets, statistical modeling, and insurance knowledge a plus.
