Job Summary:

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at HomeGoods. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager in driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and developing a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Merchandising and Operations: Assist in the development and implementation of visual merchandising plans, manage inventory levels, and oversee the maintenance of a clean and organized store environment.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that every customer has a positive shopping experience by providing exceptional service, resolving customer complaints, and promoting a culture of customer satisfaction.
  • Human Resources: Recruit, train, and develop a team of sales associates, provide coaching and feedback, and manage employee relations.
  • Loss Prevention and Operational Programs: Oversee and monitor loss prevention and operational programs to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: Two (2) years of retail leadership experience as an Assistant or Store Manager, with a proven track record of driving sales growth and improving customer satisfaction.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, strong communication, and follow-through skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees, customers, and vendors.
  • Team Management: Proven ability to manage, develop, and motivate a large team, with a focus on employee engagement and retention.
  • Volume Responsibility: Previous volume responsibility of $5 million or more, with a strong understanding of retail operations and financial management.
