The Clinical Budget Coordinator is integral to our financial management and contracting operations. This position is vital in overseeing and negotiating budgets for clinical research projects throughout their duration. As a member of the Contract and Budget Team, the Coordinator collaborates closely with various departments, including Business Development, Project Delivery, Operations, and Site Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate and review clinical trial budgets, ensuring clarity on payment terms and conditions.
- Disseminate budget-related information internally, adhering to established workflows.
- Maintain comprehensive records of budget and contract negotiations from initiation to project completion.
- Evaluate proposed study protocols to determine budgetary requirements and identify potential risks.
- Work in partnership with teams across Operations, Business Development, and Marketing, as well as Site Managers.
- Engage in initiatives aimed at improving processes for enhanced efficiency in budget and contract management.
- Communicate with CROs and Sponsors regarding budget modifications due to protocol changes and site-specific requests.
Essential Skills and Competencies
- Strong financial insight and familiarity with the CRO sector, with substantial experience in budget management.
- Ability to operate both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional negotiation skills, capable of resolving conflicts and achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail, with the capacity to identify discrepancies in budgets.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with minimal oversight.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Prior experience managing multiple projects effectively is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Qualifications
- 2 to 4 years of experience in managing clinical research budgets and contracts within a CRO, demonstrating growth in responsibilities.
- A degree in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or a related discipline.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel and Planner.
