We are seeking a board-certified psychiatrist to join our team in the northeastern tier of New York State, located above the snow belt and near the Canadian border. This region offers a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural attractions, with Ottawa just 45 minutes away and Montreal 2 hours away.
Practice Overview
As a psychiatrist with our team, you will work closely with established inpatient and outpatient clinic teams, providing holistic patient evaluations and pharmacological interventions. You will also conduct follow-up appointments to support treatment plans and coordinate with other clinic psychiatrists, advanced practitioners, and community partners to provide comprehensive care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric patient evaluations for diagnosis and management of acute and chronic mental health illness
- Provide pharmacological interventions with psycho-education and crisis management
- Collaborate with treatment teams to implement appropriate precautions
- Participate in shared on-call duties, including night and day call, and at least one weekend a month
