Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the food service department, including supervising staff, coordinating with team members, and ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Implement and maintain a retail service plan for multiple locations, ensuring that all food items are stored in a safe and organized manner.
  • Complete weekly ordering and inventory management to ensure that all necessary supplies are on hand.
  • Ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are met, including maintaining a sanitary department and adhering to health and safety codes and regulations.
  • Supervise and evaluate employees, providing guidance and support to help them grow and develop in their roles.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform preventative maintenance checks on equipment to ensure that it is in good working order.
  • Train and mentor other food service workers to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Recommend replacement of existing equipment to meet the needs of the facility.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Food Service Director or Manager, including filling in for absent employees and attending food service meetings.
Requirements
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
  • Must complete a sanitation course either before or during the first year of employment.
  • Must be knowledgeable in operating an efficient and cost-effective program.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic and maintain emotional control under stress.
  • Ability to resolve interpersonal situations and maintain strong organizational skills.
