Job Title: Building Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Building Engineer to join our team at Keswick, a leading provider of long-term care services. As a Building Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the continuous operation of our boiler room and associated plant equipment, ensuring the comfort and safety of our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor the boiler room and HVAC equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor the Building Automation system and adjust equipment as needed to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and components to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment life.
  • Conduct inspections and prepare for boiler inspections by opening boilers, performing cleaning and refractory patching or repair, and ensuring boilers are operating safely and properly.
  • Repair or replace lighting, electrical devices, and troubleshoot electrical systems as needed.
  • Perform plumbing repairs, including sinks, faucets, toilets, and related plumbing fixture repairs and replacements.
  • Participate in snow/ice removal and complete assigned work orders.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3rd Grade Stationary Engineer License required; 2nd Grade Stationary Engineer License preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • 3 years boiler experience as an operating engineer required.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry preferred.
