About the Role

The Director of Ecommerce will be responsible for driving growth and margin targets for our Rhyz entities, with a primary focus on beauty, wellness, and lifestyle consumer brands. This role will oversee all aspects of our online platform, optimizing the customer journey, user experience, enhancing and improving our SEO rankings, improving path to purchase, enhancing search, and ultimately building a best-in-class customer experience for all our customers.

This role requires a data-driven, strategic thinker, willing to roll up their sleeves and drive to results and a deep understanding of what it takes to build an amazing digital experience across beauty, wellness, and lifestyle brands. The successful candidate will be highly collaborative, willing to take strong positions, loosely held as they test and learn, and be a strong advocate for the customer experience.

A successful candidate will be able to work with the various Rhyz brands, translate their brand needs to an amazing site experience. Must have deep experience in site performance-hacking, CRO, data analysis and insights, retention optimization and full funnel activations.

Responsibilities
  1. Create an exemplary site experience - You'll drive the holistic site strategy, using customer insights to tell a cohesive story and create a seamless customer experience, overseeing visual site merchandising and content strategy, site functionality including navigation, hierarchy, search and browse, etc.
  2. Oversight of third-party agencies/vendors with the ability to recommend changes based on data-driven insights
  3. Maximize online sales and margin through an optimized customer experience, driving leading conversion rates, AOV and repeat purchases
  4. Site P&L ownership
  5. Regular performance updates
  6. Responsible for leading the creation, development and execution of all SEM, SEO, affiliate, re-messaging and new acquisition and retention programs to drive awareness, engagement and conversion
  7. Analytically driven approach to management and decision-making, with strong proficiency in web analytics, performance marketing analytics, customer segmentation and testing/optimization techniques
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience working in ecommerce in either a site merchandising or commercial strategy role, preferably within a beauty or wellness company
  • Proven leadership and with team management skills derived from having direct responsibility for building and managing a cohesive, high-performance team
  • Expertise on E-Commerce industry best practices and keep abreast on latest disruptions/trends/new technologies in the digital landscape
  • Multi-platform experience: experience managing multiple e-commerce platforms or websites simultaneously, as this role will oversee various brands.
  • Familiarity with common e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify+, etc.) and integration capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • International e-commerce: experience with global e-commerce operations, cross-border selling, and localization strategies.
  • Omnichannel strategy: experience in developing and implementing omnichannel strategies to connect online and offline experiences.
  • Customer service oversight: experience overseeing customer service operations related to e-commerce.
  • Vendor management: experience in managing relationships with technology vendors, agencies, and other partners.
  • Emerging technologies: experience with or interest in emerging e-commerce technologies (e.g., AR/VR, voice commerce, AI-driven personalization).
