About the Role:

Maintains the cleanliness and organization of all services and hospital areas, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Performs a variety of duties to maintain the hospital in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures all areas are clean and free of clutter, including patient rooms, common areas, and equipment rooms.
  • Operates and maintains cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, steamers, and trash compactors.
  • Follows proper sanitation and disinfection procedures to prevent the spread of infection.
  • Handles and disposes of hazardous materials and chemicals in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Participates in waste reduction and recycling initiatives.
  • Collaborates with other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.

Requirements:

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • One year of experience in housekeeping or a related field, preferably in a hospital or institutional setting.
  • Knowledge of sanitation and disinfection procedures, as well as safety protocols for handling hazardous materials.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment and supplies.
