We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team at The Great Southern Caf. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen staff and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities- Direct food preparation and collaborate with the executive chef to create innovative and delicious dishes.
- Help design and implement new menus and specials to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee and supervise kitchen staff to ensure health and safety standards are met and daily cleanliness is maintained.
- Assist with menu planning, inventory management, and supply ordering to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
- Ensure that all food is of the highest quality and that the kitchen is well-maintained and organized.
- Relevant culinary qualification and experience in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Ability to lead a team and communicate effectively with staff, peers, and supervisors.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of local ingredients and flavor profiles, as well as basic mathematical and accounting skills.
This role requires working in a fast-paced, high-temperature, and noisy environment. You must be able to sustain frequent walking, bending, stooping, and lifting, and be able to meet physical demands such as lifting at least 50 lbs.
