About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at The Ashford, a part of Wallick Communities. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in providing our residents with a great dining experience.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, season, and cook food according to tested recipes for residents, visitors, and employees.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of large equipment in preparation and serving areas.
  • Plan cooking schedules to ensure food is ready at serving time.
  • Conduct routine temperature checks and taste tests to maintain the quality of products.
  • Set up food in steam tables and deliver more food as needed.
  • Maintain portion control in preparation and serving.
  • Check left-over perishables in refrigerator and freezer and arrange to use them.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • One to two years of institutional or restaurant experience.
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers, residents, family members, and external sources.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from internal and external sources.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to apply basic math skills.
  • Ability to make routine decisions requiring little judgment.
