The Estimator Director (Heavy Civil/Marine) is accountable for managing the estimating process for assigned market segments in line with Company values, policies, and procedures. This role is responsible for client satisfaction, estimate quality, and competitiveness. The Estimator Director will support business acquisition efforts and engage in training and development of staff personnel.
This individual is accountable for discharging all estimating-related responsibilities and effectively leading and managing departmental personnel for assigned pursuits. The Estimator Director will lead 'win' strategy development for assigned pursuits, have experience in joint ventures, and actively engage in business acquisition efforts. They will participate in and support the project selection process, provide Joint Venture pursuit leadership, and manage estimating/precon responsibilities for alternative delivery methods.
The Estimator Director will assist with professional development of departmental staff, be active in relevant industry organizations, possess advanced knowledge of construction elements, and serve as Estimating Team Leader. They will cultivate and maintain extensive subcontractor/supplier/client/designer relationships, possess detailed knowledge of craft labor collective bargaining contracts and labor agreements, and understand corporate safety statistics and policies and their impact on estimates.
The Estimator Director will research and interpret projects pricing trends, including escalation, and supervise assigned departmental personnel in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related technical field, and 10 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of one (1) year of field experience preferred.
