About this role:

This position is responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and construction of healthcare facilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and codes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, project coordination, and budgeting.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and manage construction projects from initiation to completion.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely and within-budget project delivery.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial targets.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with codes and contracts.
  • Supervise a team of professionals responsible for fire systems, equipment, and training, locksmith, carpenter, painters, engineers, general contractors, and sub-contractors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Five to seven years of experience in healthcare design and construction, with three to five years of project management experience.
  • Experience in estimating or project management from the contracts side is desirable, or 10 years of Facilities Management with management of projects over $5M.
