POSITION OVERVIEW
The role of the Certified Parent Support Specialist (CPSS) is to offer genuine and purposeful assistance to parents or primary caregivers of children facing emotional, physical, behavioral, or mental health challenges. The CPSS is dedicated to prioritizing the needs of the parent or caregiver.

- Provide meaningful and intentional support to parents and primary caregivers on their recovery journey.
- Assist parents and caregivers in reaching their personal goals.
- Implement targeted support activities that enhance the strengths and resilience of the parent or caregiver.
- Collaborate with agency personnel and community organizations to deliver comprehensive support to families in need.

- Completion of necessary certifications and training as mandated by the Department of Mental Health.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, is necessary.
- Must be a parent or primary caregiver with relevant lived experience.
- Completion of all required training within specified timeframes.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record are required.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is essential.
