Production Engineer

The Production Engineer is a key member of our operations team, responsible for providing on-shift technical support to the Fractionation department in Covington, GA. This role reports to an Engineering Manager and focuses on resolving manufacturing problems, helping manufacturing meet production goals.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and provide resolution to technical issues to support ramp-up and steady-state operations of two automated pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
- Support the Plasma Fractionation and Albumin Purification processes, including process equipment (vessels, centrifuges, filter presses, UF/DF, robotics, COP washers, CIP skids).
- Collaborate with the Distributed Control System (DeltaV) and Process Logic Controllers teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Work closely with the Manufacturing Execution System (Siemens Simatic IT) team to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Investigate and resolve issues assigned from the departmental issues log.
- Support Process Unit Team projects and Continuous Improvement efforts.
- Develop and share process knowledge with colleagues across shifts.
- Assist Manufacturing and Quality departments in CAPA investigations.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline required.
- Some related experience preferred.
- Knowledge of basic engineering principles in several engineering disciplines.
- Ability to discuss normally encountered technical issues, both verbally and in written form.
- Work as a collaborative team member but also independently.
