Production Engineer

The Production Engineer is a key member of the operations team, responsible for providing on-shift technical support and leadership to ensure the smooth operation of the Fractionation department in Covington, GA.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to support ramp-up and steady-state operations of two automated pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
- Lead process improvements and optimize manufacturing processes to reduce cycle time, error proof operations, and eliminate waste.
- Investigate and resolve safety and quality issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues related to equipment, process, and compliance.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including troubleshooting guides and process knowledge.
- Provide training and coaching to manufacturing staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline required.
- Related work experience within a technical or GMP environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic engineering principles in several engineering disciplines.
- Ability to discuss normally encountered technical issues, both verbally and in written form.
- Work as a collaborative team member but also independently.
- Initial training in concepts of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma quality techniques is preferred.
- Ability to work in a clean room environment and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
