Job Summary

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Dietitian/Nutritionist to join our team. As a key member of our Department of Food and Nutrition Services, you will provide comprehensive nutrition care to patients, assessing their nutritional needs and developing personalized care plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide nutrition care to assigned patients, including assessing nutritional needs, developing and implementing care plans, and modifying diet orders as needed.
  • Provide coverage of all inpatient units and attend multidisciplinary rounds for designated clinics.
  • Calculate patient nutrition requirements using standardized formulas and refer patients to other services as needed.
  • Counsel patients and caregivers on special nutrition needs and procedures, and coordinate the provision of outpatient nutrition services.
  • Develop and revise patient nutrition education materials and provide written patient education on nutrition-related topics.
  • Train new hires to specific areas as applicable and reassess and follow-up on patient nutrition status and risk-level.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Food & Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience, with at least one year in critical care and oncology nutrition.
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist, New York State.
  • Advanced level certification: Certified Specialist in Oncology (CSO) or Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) preferred.
