Job Summary

The Clinical Laboratory Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the operational and technical accuracy of all pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical procedures in specific laboratory departments. This position does not involve direct patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise to bench-level staff, review procedure updates, evaluate work processes, and assist in meeting accreditation and compliance standards.
  • Maintain operational quality, consistency of reporting, and continuous monitoring of analytical systems and automation lines.
  • Organize workload, complete quality control procedures, properly identify specimens, and determine proper equipment functionality.
  • Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in multiple disciplines and demonstrate a strong ability to identify, analyze, and solve problems.
  • Participate in inter-disciplinary laboratory teams and committees, including corporate compliance, IDT, BLA, preceptor, operations, support services, denials, revenue and integrity, cytology, utilization, CLQMP, PAR, and others.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a closely related field.
  • Minimum three years of Clinical Laboratory Technologist experience, with five years preferred.
  • National certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) (ASCP) is preferred.
  • Current State of Nevada Clinical Laboratory Technologist license as a General Supervisor is required within seven months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Quality/project management/regulatory experience.
  • Knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems.
Work Environment

Renown Health is a 24-hour/7-days a week operation, providing laboratory services to both inpatients and outpatients of all ages.
