Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to ensure students receive appropriate support and accommodations.
- Deliver instruction tailored to the unique learning styles and abilities of each student.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents/guardians to create a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor student progress, conduct assessments, and maintain accurate records of student performance.
- Employ a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and promote their academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom climate that values diversity and respects the individuality of each student.
- Provide guidance and support to students in developing essential life skills and promoting independence.
- Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences as required.
- Possession of valid or pending teaching credentials for Special Education.
- Proven experience working as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in a similar educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of special education principles, strategies, and best practices.
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ability to design and implement appropriate interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
- Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Patient, empathetic, and genuinely passionate about supporting students with special needs.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate student records and documentation.
