Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Chaplain Associate to join our Pastoral Care team at Baptist Memorial Health Care. As a key member of our team, you will provide spiritual care and support to patients, families, and colleagues, promoting a sense of well-being and comfort in times of need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide routine and referral visitation to patients and families, offering emotional and spiritual support.
  • Offer crisis and bereavement care during times of death, codes, and other emergencies, providing a listening ear and a comforting presence.
  • Participate in special shifts and assignments, providing pastoral care and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Pastoral Care to develop and implement goals and objectives for the Pastoral Care department.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably with coursework in Biblical Studies, Pastoral Care, Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work.
  • Preferred: 400 hours (1 unit) of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum: 1 year of experience in providing pastoral care, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
