About the Role

Gilbane Building Company is seeking a highly skilled MEP Coordinator II to support our project in Connecticut. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the buyout process and leading the coordination and field installation process for MEP Systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review MEP Scopes of Work and equipment pre-purchases for accuracy and completeness
  • Assist in the development of the MEP Construction and Commissioning Schedule
  • Enforce quality control policies and inspections on the MEP trades
  • Interface with the CX agent to ensure the CX process is being executed to meet expectations
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A BS or MS degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • 5-10 years related field experience
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

You will also need to possess:

  • Ability to work in a team environment and manage project subcontractors
  • Ability to collaborate on a daily basis with the project team
  • Able to demonstrate both engineering and field supervision capabilities
  • Must be MEP construction-document and drawing literate, with knowledge of all phases of construction
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to adapt to changing needs
  • Must have strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to enforce the project safety plan
  • OSHA 30 hour certified
