Benedictine University is seeking a highly motivated and organized Graduate Assistant to support the Track Program. The successful candidate will assist with the recruitment and retention of student-athletes, while ensuring a positive student experience.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Track Program with the identification and recruitment of qualified student-athletes to enhance the program's competitive standing in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.
- Coach and mentor student-athletes, providing guidance on technique and safety procedures in adherence with NCAA regulations and Sports Performance expectations.
- Support the retention of student-athletes through social and academic support, monitoring their academic progress, and providing instruction in technique and safety procedures.
- Develop relationships within Benedictine University and the University community, attending departmental and University-related meetings and events.
- Work in coordination with University offices and departments to coordinate and facilitate University events, maintaining positive relationships with alumni, parents, students, officials, volunteers, and fans.
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Coaching or playing experience and extensive knowledge of the sport at the collegiate level preferred
- Applicant must obtain acceptance into a Benedictine Graduate program of Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Business Analytics, Master of Science in Management & Organizational Behavior, or Master of Public Health
- Valid driver's license; CPR/First Aid/AED certification
Office environment; nights and weekends required. Must complete all trainings required by Benedictine University.
