Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at our West Los Angeles location. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the direct supervision of licensed professionals to provide in-person and telephone support to patients. Your responsibilities will include receiving and directing new and refill prescriptions, producing computerized labels, packaging prescriptions, and selling pharmaceutical merchandise.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and reception skills to patients
- Receive new prescriptions and/or refills, ensuring correct entry/documentation of required information
- Process prescription refill authorization requests
- Sell prescriptions and other merchandise to members, verifying correct patient identification
- Maintain the security and integrity of cash register drawer contents
- Count cash drawer change fund and prepare daily cash register summary documents
- Perform duties of the Inventory Control Assistant, including ordering and receiving merchandise, affixing price labels, and restocking shelves
- Make recommendations to management regarding systems or operational improvements
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, and a safe, secure, and efficient work environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field (or equivalent experience)
- Excellent customer service and telephone reception skills
- Excellent written and verbal English-speaking communication skills
- Ability to read, understand, and transcribe pharmaceutical information
- Demonstrated mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- MUST PASS BACKGROUND CHECK
- Ability to lift/transport 1-50 lbs
- Light to moderate carrying, pulling, pushing, walking, and frequent bending, stooping, and reaching
- Bilingual (Spanish) Level I required

This is a full-time position with variable days.
