Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at our West Los Angeles location. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the direct supervision of licensed professionals to provide in-person and telephone support to patients. Your responsibilities will include receiving and directing new and refill prescriptions, producing computerized labels, packaging prescriptions, and selling pharmaceutical merchandise.


Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and reception skills to patients
  • Receive new prescriptions and/or refills, ensuring correct entry/documentation of required information
  • Process prescription refill authorization requests
  • Sell prescriptions and other merchandise to members, verifying correct patient identification
  • Maintain the security and integrity of cash register drawer contents
  • Count cash drawer change fund and prepare daily cash register summary documents
  • Perform duties of the Inventory Control Assistant, including ordering and receiving merchandise, affixing price labels, and restocking shelves
  • Make recommendations to management regarding systems or operational improvements
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, and a safe, secure, and efficient work environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Excellent customer service and telephone reception skills
  • Excellent written and verbal English-speaking communication skills
  • Ability to read, understand, and transcribe pharmaceutical information
  • Demonstrated mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
  • MUST PASS BACKGROUND CHECK
  • Ability to lift/transport 1-50 lbs
  • Light to moderate carrying, pulling, pushing, walking, and frequent bending, stooping, and reaching
  • Bilingual (Spanish) Level I required
