Comprehensive Energy Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Sheet Metal Superintendent to lead our commercial construction team.
About the Role:
The Sheet Metal Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the installation of sheet metal ductwork and other related systems on commercial construction projects. This includes managing a team of foremen, tradesmen, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a team of foremen, tradesmen, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement project schedules, budgets, and quality control plans.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and provide guidance to team members.
- Collaborate with trade managers and project managers to resolve construction problems and ensure projects are completed to the highest quality standards.
- Prepare and submit reports to management on project progress, including time and material estimates, and safety performance.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures, and document and implement corrective safety measures as needed.
- Train and supervise lead foremen, foremen, mechanics, and helpers on company policies, safety practices, and installation procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, and completion of a post-secondary program in sheet metal work or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial sheet metal ductwork installation and supervision.
- Knowledge of Florida Mechanical Code, Florida Building Code, and SMACNA standards.
- OSHA 30 certification, First Aid, CPR, and other relevant safety certifications.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, vendors, and employees at all levels.
- Proficient in using MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and CM software platforms like Autodesk Build, Procore, and BIM 360.
