Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Product Strategist with proven experience driving product strategy and delivery for highly technical products. The successful candidate will be able to understand business needs, data requirements, and the technical ecosystem of their product to develop product strategies and plans that meet the challenges of government healthcare directives. The successful candidate will have Product Management experience and will interface with customers and teams to define the team's roadmap, objectives, and features, and perform analysis throughout the Agile lifecycle to ensure we are optimizing value delivery for our clients and end users. Experience building and managing data platforms and using AI/ML and LLM to optimize product and user outcomes is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define Product Vision: Develop and communicate a clear product vision within the scope of a particular team, product, or feature set, ensuring alignment with user needs and business objectives.
  • Research and Development: Research and autonomously develop subject matter expertise in the data, policies, and operations that enable the team's work.
  • Customer Interface: Interface with Federal customers, end users, and Human-centered Design (HCD) researchers to identify and validate user and business needs.
  • Collaboration and Planning: Understand the scope of the enabler work and collaborate with System Architects, SMEs, Engineers, and others to assist with product planning and decision-making.
  • Quarterly Planning: Prepare for and participate in Quarterly (PI) Planning.
  • Feature Development: Develop actionable and value-driven features and stories, working with the team to define benefit hypothesis and acceptance criteria.
  • Implementation and Testing: Collaborate with the development and testing team to ensure implementation of the system tests.
  • Program Goals and Deliverables: Provide operational, tactical, and strategic inputs to accomplish program goals and meet planned deliverables.
  • Delivery and Improvement: Drive delivery and continuous improvement by utilizing feedback and metrics to identify areas of opportunity.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Provide proactive and open communication across the program and stakeholders for transparency and awareness of progress and impediments.
  • Relationship Building: Bridges the communication between the agile/project teams and key stakeholders by building and maintaining relationships.
  • Emerging Themes: Constantly refine and stay current with emerging themes in larger Medicare policy and data communities.
  • Product Strategy and Decisions: Works alongside the Group Product Manager to collaborate and contribute on product strategy and strategic decisions.
Qualifications
  • Product Management Experience: 7+ years product management experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines/technologies/processes related to the position.
  • Agile Environment: 5+ years working in an agile environment on complex projects.
  • AI/ML and LLM Experience: Experience using AI/ML and LLMs to drive product innovation within data platforms.
  • Research and Analytical Skills: Strong research, analytical, and innovative thinking skills.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficiency in leveraging data and metrics to make informed decisions.
  • Decision Making: Ability to make high-impact decisions in ambiguous situations.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Experience in leading collaborative efforts across multiple teams and functional areas.
  • Integration Systems and Projects: Demonstrated experience working on large integration systems and executing large-scale projects from conception through implementation.
  • Communication and Technical Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills for providing technical and project-related information.
  • Software Development: Strong knowledge and experience in software development in an agile environment.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to work with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Adaptability and Time Sensitivity: Ability to work in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment.
  • Product Management and Human-Centered Principles: Demonstrated knowledge of product management/product discipline and human-centered principles.

  • Project Management Tools: Experience using JIRA, Confluence, and Slack.
Desired Qualifications
  • Data Platforms and APIs: Experience building and managing data platforms, APIs, and data processing pipelines.
  • SAFe PO/PM Certification: SAFe PO/PM certification or experience operating using SAFe principles.
  • CMS Experience: Experience delivering projects with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
  • Project Management Certification: PMP or proven experience managing projects to completion.
Working Environment

eSimplicity supports a remote work environment operating within the Eastern time zone. Expected hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern unless otherwise directed by manager. Occasional travel for training and project meetings is estimated to be less than 25% per year.
