Job Opportunity

Gotham Organization is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Leasing Agent to join our team. As a Junior Leasing Agent, you will play a crucial role in driving the performance of our luxury rental properties and providing exceptional customer service to our residents and prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage apartment rentals, including marketing, leasing, and maintaining good customer relations.
  • Register and tour prospects, highlighting the benefits of living in a Gotham property.
  • Engage in continuous follow-up with prospects and utilize strong closing techniques.
  • Respond to online inquiries, phone calls, and be knowledgeable on apartment inventory, application requirements, and building policies.
  • Diligently track prospect information to ensure data accuracy.
  • Collect and prepare verification documents to efficiently process applications.
  • Administer leases and other legal documents with attention to detail.
  • Manage listings of vacant apartments on key websites, updating daily and checking for accuracy and quality.
  • Handle lease assignment requests in conjunction with the Management.
  • Proactively work with the leasing team to identify changes required due to market and competitive changes.
  • Discuss market information and trends with the Leasing Director and Marketing Department.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and collect detailed market comparables as directed.

Requirements & Critical Skills:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Full-time position - 5 days a week. Weekends are required.
  • NYS Real Estate License required.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Amiable demeanor with a focus on exceptional service and effective communication.
  • Experience with property management and leasing software preferred.
  • Ability to learn new systems in a changing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • This position will be based in one of our Manhattan buildings with potential coverage in LIC or Brooklyn on an as-needed basis.
