TSC's Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (AISR) Division is seeking a highly skilled Aviation Maintenance Crew Chief to support ground and flight operations at CONUS locations. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with Rotax engines and associated airframes, as well as Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) group 3-5 maintenance and operations.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with company and manufacturer policy, procedure, and recommendations to ensure operational maintenance procedures are followed and daily flight operations meet the high-quality performance standard.
  • Perform classroom and field maintenance instruction on Rotax powerplant.
  • Comply with ground, flight, training, standards, and evaluation procedures.
  • Adhere to worksite safety, digital and paper logbooks, maintenance records, FOD, and tool control.
  • Complete timely and accurate maintenance records.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and briefings to operations managers and engineering.
  • Maintain accountability of inventory (equipment and associated hardware).
  • Track consumables, record MX failures, and support MTBO/MTBF data tracking.
  • Meet aircraft maintenance milestones.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • FAA A&P (IA desired).
  • 5+ years proven maintenance experience.
  • Work experience as Airframe and Powerplant mechanic with proven ROTAX experience.
  • Rotax engine factory training completed (up to a heavy maintenance level) with ability to teach new maintainers.
  • Knowledge and experience with Aircraft Technical Manuals (General Systems, Job Guides, Fault Isolation, etc.).
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting aircraft electrical systems.
  • Experienced in composite repair (desired).
  • Ability to obtain SECRET security clearance.
  • FAA Class 3 Medical.
  • Clean Background Check.
Work Environment:

The employee will work in a fast-paced environment, walking on flight lines and ramps, and lifting overhead items. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

The employee will be required to use PPE for mechanical, audible, and chemical hazards.

The employee must have a FAA Class 3 flight physical annually.

The employee must be able to travel up to 50% and reside in Arizona, potentially relocating to Sierra Vista area in the future.
