About the Role:
The PTSD Foundation of America is seeking a part-time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team in providing clinical support to veterans receiving care. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering direct patient care, monitoring medication adherence, and contributing to the interdisciplinary treatment team.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver compassionate, trauma-informed care to male combat veterans, ensuring their dignity and respect.
- Engage daily with veterans to foster a safe and supportive care environment.
- Monitor veterans during self-administration of medication to ensure adherence and safety.
- Collaborate with veterans to develop personalized care plans that align with their treatment goals.
- Provide updates on veterans' progress and care needs during interdisciplinary team meetings.
**Requirements:**
- Active LVN License in good standing with the Texas State Licensing Board.
- Prior experience working with combat veterans or in a trauma-informed care setting is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or equivalent CPR certification is required.
