Position Summary:

VFI is seeking a qualified Intermediate Systems Engineer to join our team in support of a complex, multi-year project focused on providing Information Technology (IT) Services.

Clearance Requirement: Candidates must hold an active DOD Secret clearance.

Work Schedule: Standard workweek from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend support as required.

Travel Requirements: Minimal travel, anticipated to be less than 10%.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance of the technical infrastructure to align with business requirements, ensuring proactive software updates and system refreshes.
  • Provide first-level support and troubleshooting for incidents reported through system monitoring, user support tickets, and collaboration with IT colleagues.
  • Be available for after-hours support as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in managing network modernization or system projects of comparable scope and complexity.
  • Proficient in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting solutions across Microsoft Windows and Apple operating systems, various web browsers, and diagnostic tools, while adhering to security protocols.
  • Familiarity with relational database systems and SQL tools, including understanding the integration between databases and software applications.
  • Experience in system documentation and organizational practices.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current technologies and best practices, particularly in application and network security.
  • Hands-on experience with personal computer hardware components, including processors, motherboards, and peripherals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with robust problem-solving capabilities, able to anticipate and implement solutions that enhance business processes and customer service.
  • Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Possession of IAT Level II Certification.
