At ManTech International Corporation, we're seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our diverse team, you'll play a critical role in protecting our national security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the day-to-day implementation, oversight, continuous monitoring, and maintenance of security configurations, practices, and procedures for each information system.
  • Provide liaison support between system owners and other security personnel.
  • Ensure that selected security controls are implemented and operating as intended during all phases of the information system lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain system security documentation, ensuring it's reviewed and updated on a continuous basis.
  • Conduct required information system vulnerability scans according to risk assessment parameters.
  • Develop Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs) in response to reported security vulnerabilities.
  • Manage risks to information systems and other assets by coordinating correction or mitigation actions and overseeing their timely completion.
  • Coordinate system owner concurrence for correction or mitigation actions.
  • Monitor security controls for information systems to maintain security Authorized to Operate (ATO) status.
  • Upload security control evidence to the Governance, Risk, and Compliance application to support security control implementation during the monitoring phase.
  • Ensure changes to information systems, their environments, or operational needs that may affect authorization status are reported to the system owner and Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).
  • Ensure the removal and retirement of decommissioned information systems in coordination with the system owner, ISSM, and ISSR.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) at a cleared facility.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a computer science or cybersecurity-related field.
  • Hold at least one of the following certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Global Information Security Professional (GISP), or the CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) or other certifications exemplifying skill sets such as those described in DoD Instruction Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I proficiency.
  • Familiarity with the use and operation of security tools, including Tenable Nessus and/or Security Center, IBM Guardium, HP WebInspect, Network Mapper (NMAP), and/or similar applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or other cyber discipline is preferred.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current/active Top Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain SCI.
  • Applicants may also require undergoing a CI Polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.
  • Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
