Position Overview:

This role is integral to supporting credit and risk management functions, encompassing credit administration, loan evaluation, and approvals within designated authorities. The position also involves monitoring, servicing, and reporting on credit within the AgTech portfolio.

The incumbent will provide essential guidance and resources for structuring and maintaining finance programs offered through AgTech.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the credit policy for AgTech financing programs, including operating, intermediate, and real estate loan lending. Ensure effective communication of policy requirements both internally and with external partners.
  • Conduct research and provide recommendations for potential modifications to credit policy based on historical performance and data analytics.
  • With delegated credit authorities, oversee the credit analysis, approval processes, and ongoing servicing for the AgTech portfolio.
  • Establish and nurture key relationships with external partners to educate them on AgTech financing programs, credit underwriting standards, servicing expectations, and to assist in portfolio growth.
  • Collaborate with sales, loan operations, legal, finance, and related teams in onboarding and training new and existing business partners.

Minimum Qualifications & Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, agribusiness, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the role.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in agricultural credit and operations.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations, and compliance requirements specific to the financial industry and Farm Credit.
  • Advanced understanding of credit processing, servicing activities, accounting principles, credit analysis procedures, credit administration, and portfolio management.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, team-building, problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Highly developed negotiation and influencing abilities.
  • Capability to manage high-stress situations and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage at all organizational levels.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational capabilities.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office applications and client databases such as Web Equity, CRM, and loan origination systems.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
