Internship Overview

An intern at SICK will be immersed in the day-to-day activities of the business through involvement in various projects. The intern will work within a team to gain knowledge and hands-on experience of a career in this industry.

Responsibilities
  • Reporting and creating visualizations in CRM and SAP systems.
  • Reviewing data through multiple means to identify potential gaps or incorrect information and working towards correction.
  • Developing processes to improve the quality of data moving forward.
  • Working on a chosen project with the assistance of the manager, mentor, and team.
  • Working closely with the manager and mentor to understand systems, processes, and key information.
  • Actively seeking out information to learn how SICK operates as a business.
  • Interfacing with other departments and interns to gain knowledge of the business, products, positions, and more.
  • Providing innovative recommendations on how SICK can improve.
  • Completing a final presentation at the close of the internship that outlines the involved project(s) and knowledge gained.
  • Providing feedback on the internship experience at the close of the internship.
Qualifications
  • Enrolled in an accredited university/college program.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Microsoft SQL Server querying in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) experience preferred.
  • Data Visualization tool such as Tableau experience preferred.
  • Self-directed and able to work without supervision.
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
