Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability and Environmental Compliance Specialist to join our growing quality team at Showdown Displays, a leading manufacturer of event, display, and promotional products.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing sustainability data, assisting with compliance testing, and ensuring adherence to environmental regulations and product compliance standards. This role involves tracking metrics, supporting sustainability projects, coordinating social audits, and focusing on compliance-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and manage sustainability data, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Input sustainability metrics into the Ecovadis sustainability platform and other platforms as required
  • Attend Sustainability Committee meetings, coordinate sustainability projects, and provide monthly updates to the Compliance Manager
  • Assist in updating and creating Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) for all imported products to ensure accuracy with U.S. HTS and globally recognized tariff schemes
  • Support California Proposition 65 (P65), Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS), fire retardancy, and other compliance testing for hardware and media from Showdown and partner companies
  • Manage compliance and sustainability data collection, stay up-to-date with relevant regulations, and conduct risk assessments for compliance and sustainability issues
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or related experience in sustainability concepts, helping companies achieve sustainable goals
  • Regulatory experience regarding chemical, safety, and electrical aspects
  • Knowledge of Green House Gas (GHG) calculations and ability to interpret product materials and functionality
  • Basic knowledge of import and export compliance
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, with experience in Acumatica ERP system or similar advantageous
