BH Properties is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Building Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations leadership, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repairs of our office and retail properties across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement work assignments for Building Engineers who report directly to you.
- Oversee the maintenance and repairs of office and retail properties, ensuring compliance with quality standards and best practices.
- Handle special work assignments and trouble calls, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Assist in training personnel on proper operating procedures and techniques.
- Enforce safety regulations and conduct regular inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
- Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment, including HVAC systems, water treatment procedures, and electrical equipment.
- Implement and manage operational manuals, logs, equipment history books, safety programs, inventory control programs, and preventive maintenance programs.
- Coordinate work order procedures, failure analysis procedures, vendor relations, and formal training programs.
- General maintenance experience with a strong background in building operations.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in Yardi work order systems.
- Excellent time management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
