About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Performance Engineer/Analyst to join our Codes and Standards Team at Carrier. As a key member of our Sustainability Division, you will be responsible for executing projects with our team members and leveraging your expertise in building science, energy-efficient building systems, and energy modeling using EnergyPlusTM.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and conduct energy efficiency analyses using energy modeling software and applied techniques, cost-effectiveness analyses, and other analyses related to energy policy.
  • Provide technical reviews of energy simulations and other analyses, and strategic guidance, to team members.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Liaise with other functional / technical teams and clients.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Engineering or Technology and 7+ years' work experience in Building Energy Efficiency.
  • 3+ years working experience with one or more of the following building energy codes: CA Title 24, ASHRAE Standard 90.1, and/or IECC.
  • 3+ years working experience with complex building mechanical systems and state-of-the-art energy efficiency technologies and applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in mechanical, electrical, environmental, architectural, or related sustainability field.
  • Extensive knowledge of Title 24, ASHRAE Standard 90.1, IECC, and other energy codes and standards.
  • Understanding of key building decarbonization strategies and systems, including high performance building envelopes, heat pumps, and heat pump water heaters.
