Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant - Clinical Support to join our team at Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio. As a key member of our health center team, you will provide exceptional patient care, support clinical procedures, and maintain accurate medical records.

Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate information to patients regarding PPGOH services, including contraception options and funding sources.
  • Respond to telephone calls, making appointments, providing information, and referrals.
  • Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain patient medical records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Competently utilize the computerized client information system for appointment scheduling, data entry, and client fees.
  • Provide customer-focused services, anticipating patient needs and performing necessary duties to ensure satisfaction and clinic success.
  • Gather and record patient information, entering data into the medical record and patient data system.
  • Conduct verbal history and screening for medical record documentation.
  • Administer medication according to scope of practice or licensure.
  • Participate in a team approach delivery system of services to patients, adhering to PPGOH policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Advanced technical training or Certified Medical Assistant required.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in medical assisting techniques and reproductive health preferred.
  • Excellent customer service, problem-solving, judgment, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to quality healthcare.
