We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Space Systems Architect to join our team at Terran Orbital. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of space platforms, from customer engagement to technical requirements and platform architecture development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Engagement: Support customer engagements and related engineering architecture and analysis products to shape customer requirements.
  • Proposal and Capture Efforts: Support proposal/capture efforts through technical engagement, writing, and supporting analysis.
  • Space Platform Development: Lead all aspects of developing space platforms, including direct customer engagement, deriving technical requirements, and leading platform architecture development and design execution.
  • Technical Leadership: Apply technical and leadership skills to organize, lead, and guide product line strategic technical decisions and resolve top technical challenges and issues of importance to the company.
  • Product Line Technical Roadmaps: Architect and drive key elements of the product line technological roadmaps for system functional behavior performance to support innovative, high-capability, high-reliability products and programs.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
  • Experience: 10 plus years of experience with at least 5 years as a technical leader of multifunctional teams within space-domain missions.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated space hardware and integration experience, experience with risk, issue, and opportunity management, and proven ability to deliver effective communication verbally, written, and through well-crafted presentations across all levels of an organization.
Additional Differentiators
  • Engineering Master's Degree: Engineering Master's Degree in space systems is a plus.
  • Space-Based Encrypted Communications: Experience and success with space-based encrypted communications architectures and devices, as well as knowledge of standards for geospatial intelligence data and products.
  • Space-Based Remote Sensing: Demonstrate experience and success with space-based remote sensing missions, including Optical or RF systems.
  • Space-Based Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety: Experience and success with space-based reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety.
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): Experience with MBSE.
