POSITION SUMMARY:

The Mobile Community Response Associate role is a vital component of the Care Link Mobile Community Response Team (MCRT). This initiative provides immediate assistance to individuals of all ages facing mental health crises, substance use challenges, and barriers to essential services. MCRT works in partnership with local emergency services, community organizations, and residents to deliver timely support.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's Degree from an accredited institution in social work
  • Valid Registration (ASW, AMFT, APCC) with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences or Board of Psychology
  • Experience in crisis intervention and case management techniques
  • Public speaking proficiency
  • Experience in counseling individuals and families
  • Availability to work weekends

WORK SCHEDULE:

  • Morning Shift: 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Evening Shift: 2:30 PM - 1:00 AM
  • Night Shift: 9:00 PM - 7:30 AM

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responds to emergency and crisis situations in the community
  • Provides on-site therapeutic support to individuals and families in distress
  • Collaborates with first responders to deliver immediate crisis assistance, including transport to appropriate care facilities
  • Leads the mobile team, offering clinical guidance and support to team members
  • Conducts thorough assessments to understand the needs of individuals and recommend suitable interventions
  • Facilitates referrals for ongoing case management and aftercare services
  • Maintains knowledge of community resources

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Understanding of social work principles and counseling methodologies
  • Familiarity with community resources and referral networks
  • Insight into group dynamics
  • Proficiency in office management practices
  • Effective counseling skills
  • Strong interviewing and communication abilities
  • Capacity to build and sustain positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and the public
  • Public speaking capabilities
  • Experience in facilitating support groups
  • Ability to document interventions and track progress accurately

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position may require prolonged periods of sitting, as well as bending and stretching for files and supplies. The ability to lift up to 25 pounds is necessary. Vision must be correctable to 20/40, and hearing must be within normal range for effective communication.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is conducted in an office environment within a clinical setting, involving regular interaction with staff and the public. The role may be stressful at times, particularly when dealing with distressed individuals.
