About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC DX System Installer to join our team at B&I Contractors, Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain mini split systems, split systems, water source heat pump/exchangers, and rooftop air conditioning units in commercial construction and retrofit projects.
  • Ensure quality, integrity, safety, and teamwork in all aspects of the job.
  • Install refrigerant piping and low voltage control wiring, and set and/or mount condensing units and air handlers.
  • Perform system startup and checks to ensure proper operation.
  • Purchase, maintain, and replace required tools as designated.
Requirements
  • Hold a minimum of a Type II EPA Certification.
  • Have a solid working knowledge of HVAC mechanical equipment and installation practices.
  • Be able to visualize three-dimensional objects from drawings, sketches, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Have proficient written and verbal communication skills, detailed organizational skills, and accurately calculate construction/shop math.
  • Be able to see well, use hands, fingers, arms, and legs fully, lift up to 50 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl, climb and balance on ladders and scaffolds, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Comply with all B&I safety procedures.
  • Pass a drug test, background check, and have a clean driving record.
