Civil Site Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Project Engineer II to join our team at CEMS Engineering Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing plans for civil site projects, including hydrology and hydraulic studies, drainage reports, site plans, technical specifications, grading and utility plans, erosion control plans, and roadway design.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare plans for civil site projects, including hydrology and hydraulic studies, drainage reports, site plans, technical specifications, grading and utility plans, erosion control plans, and roadway design.
- Coordinate with other engineering teams and disciplines within the firm.
- Work independently in a team environment and effectively manage time.
- Obtain required construction permits, including sediment and erosion control, coastal stormwater, and water/wastewater permits.
- Work and coordinate with staff in multiple office locations.
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Minimum BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent engineering degree from an accredited college/university.
- Minimum 6-10 years of experience in civil engineering and site design.
- Professional Engineer licensure is required.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledgeable in specific requirements affecting coastal communities in NC and SC.
- Experience preparing bids and proposals, producing design drawings, preparing technical specifications, preparing permit submittals, and assisting in providing bid services and construction monitoring.
- Proficient with computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite, SWMM, HEC/RAS, and Civil 3D.
