About the Role

The Instructional Technologist will play a key role in supporting faculty members in utilizing the university's instructional technologies, including the learning management system. This position will also involve providing individual consultations, developing resources, and presenting group training to instructors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver training materials for supported applications.
  • Facilitate and promote live and recorded workshops and presentations on instructional technology and e-learning tools.
  • Consult with faculty to resolve issues related to centrally supported instructional technology tools.
  • Maintain up-to-date computer skills by attending training on new equipment and learning new procedures and software.
  • Create engaging professional development materials related to e-learning tools and educational technologies.
  • Coordinate with the university learning management system administrator on approved partnerships.
  • Assist in updating and maintaining the department website, including designing pages, creating and uploading content, and monitoring external links.
  • Provide support for effective system use at the school and department levels.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Technology or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Two to three years of professional experience in instructional technology, including experience working with faculty, teaching assistants, or other instructional staff.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in working within a Learning Management System (Brightspace preferred).
  • Proficient in web communication platforms (Zoom preferred).
  • Knowledge of Video enterprise tools (YuJa Video preferred).
  • Proficient in Google Suite tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides) or equivalent.
  • Ability to synthesize and present information to a variety of audiences.
