Job Title: Computed Tomography Technologist

Job Summary:

MedStar Health is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating diagnostic equipment to produce high-quality CT scan images of internal organs for use by professional personnel. You will also be responsible for explaining the process to patients, interviewing them for medical history, and instructing and assisting them as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate diagnostic equipment to produce CT scan images of internal organs
  • Explain the process to patients and interview them for medical history
  • Instruct and assist patients as needed
  • Enter patient and exam data into the x-ray computer system
  • Perform computed scan images using the radiology department computer system
  • Report technical problems to the supervisor or senior technologist
  • Assist Radiologist with interventional procedures such as biopsies and drainages
  • Schedule patient exams and revise daily schedules to accommodate emergency exams
  • Film CT scan images and assist in the training and orientation of new employees and students

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or one to three years of formal training in Radiologic Technology
  • Completed competency-based training in CT
  • 1-2 years of job-related experience
  • Registration
