Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CPA, CMA, or MBA is preferred.


Key Skills and Attributes:

• Proficient application of accounting principles in areas such as:

  • Financial Reporting and General Accounting: Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) relevant to Health Care Service Contractors.
  • Cost Accounting: Familiarity with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
  • Government Accounting: Understanding of FEHBAR, FAR, CAS, and GAAP.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly journal entries promptly to record necessary accruals and reclassify transactions as needed.
• Accurately collect, validate, and summarize accounting or statistical data.
• Maintain allocation tables within the cost accounting system, utilizing data such as labor distribution and organizational structure.

• Collaborate with operating departments to review and validate information.
• Prepare and analyze administrative cost and budget reports, investigating variances at various levels.

• Conduct analysis on cost trends and allocations, suggesting updates to allocation tables as necessary.
• Provide ad-hoc analyses as requested.

The expected hourly wage for this position ranges from $26.97 to $36.49, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, a bonus target of 5% is associated with this role.
