LPN - Clinic I (Meds) Specialist

We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our team at Kaiser Permanente's Maui Lani Medical Offices. As a Clinic I (Meds) LPN, you will provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients in an outpatient setting, working under the direction of a Registered Nurse and medical orders of the Practitioner.
Key Responsibilities- Review and prepare medical records for assigned patients, initiating follow-up as requested.
- Identify and prepare orders for patient needs, obtaining authorization from the Practitioner as needed.
- Observe, collect, and document new information on patients, informing RNs or Practitioners of incomplete data, new observations, or abnormal/unusual data.
- Implement basic nursing procedures per plan of care, administering treatments, immunizations, and medications as prescribed by the Practitioner.
- Provide laboratory, x-ray, and other reports to the Practitioner for review, notifying patients of normal results as directed.
- Document implementation of orders/interventions, recording findings, instructions, and patient responses on appropriate forms or online records.
- Collaborate with RNs/Practitioners to revise care plans as needed, observing patients/families' responses to care and reporting unexpected responses.
- Participate in staff meetings, projects, and orientation of new personnel, demonstrating knowledge, skills, and abilities in area of specialization.
- Twelve (12) months of LPN experience.
- Hawaii State Board of Nursing-approved curriculum for LPN licensure.
- Licensed Practical Nurse (Hawaii) required at hire.
- Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in conflict resolution, customer service, interpersonal relations, oral communication, problem solving, teamwork, and written communication.
- Acute care nursing experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in word processing and spreadsheet PC applications.
