JOB OBJECTIVE:

To provide assistance within the Office of School Readiness Pre-Kindergarten program.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Facilitates a well-structured and efficient classroom environment.
  • Collaborates with pre-k students to reinforce skills and concepts introduced by the lead educator.
  • Monitors and evaluates the progress of pre-k students.
  • Participates in weekly planning meetings with classroom educators.
  • Assists in documenting activities, tracking progress, and noting observations.
  • Submits weekly planning documents to administration.
  • Supports the teacher in developing activities and implementing tailored instructional strategies.
  • Provides assistance with independent study, drills, remedial tasks, and makeup work.
  • Assists in administering diagnostic and assessment evaluations.
  • Maintains necessary pre-k documentation.
  • Attends scheduled workshops and training sessions.
  • Performs keyboarding tasks.
  • Undertakes other related responsibilities as assigned.

Duty Days: 187

Compensation: As per the Alabama Department of Education Salary Schedule. Actual salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
